The Journal of Appellate Practice and Process – Vol. 25, Issue 2

The Journal of Appellate Practice and Process recently released a new Issue. The issue begins with a tribute to Justice David Souter by Chief Judge David J. Barron and Senior Circuit Judge Jeffrey R. Howard. That moving tribute is followed by articles on the Supreme Court’s Second Amendment jurisprudence, generative AI and appellate courts, Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast and the advice to lawyers it provides, a recent Ohio Supreme Court case where a transgender woman sought to change the sex designation on her birth certificate, online access to final, citable judicial opinions, and a firsthand view of a review of Justice Stevens’s papers from the Apprendi decision.

The Journal of Appellate Practice and Process is must-reading for academics, appellate practitioners, and judges, and this issue is no exception.
